Is It Really June!?!?

Wow! I cannot believe it is June! I have been so busy with this project and trying to work that I haven't had time to blog or really do anything else for that matter! But is sure is exciting and getting closer to being done! All of the trim is in, new garage doors, and tile completed.  So much to say, but words don't do it justice! So here are some pictures!

Insulation Applied and Drywall Delivered

We decided to use an insulation called icynene. It is a spray foam insulation that is supposed to be very green. Lots of benefits to this stuff. Bugs and rodents don't like it and it can reduce energy costs by half! The initial investment is more expensive, but hoping it pays off in the long run.

Also got some pictures of the big trucks delivering sheetrock.

Where Has The Time Gone?

Oh my! I can't believe it's been over a month since I have posted! Here are some pictures of the fireplace, bedroom door trimmed and gas line that we had to have run to the house.
The fireplace is see through. One side in sitting room of bedroom and other side is in living room.

Love this door! It's off our bedroom.

Here is the gas meter we had to have run to the house.

More Framing and HVAC

Our next door neighbors(that we bought our property from) are trying to sell their house so there is a for sale sign right next to our property.  One of the guys that is working on the house says that people keep pulling in our driveway!  They sit and wait and watch for a minute and then realize that it's not our property for sale! He said that I would not believe how often it happens! Not that we are going to leave anytime soon, but it's nice to know that it's a desirable location and property!!

Trees Coming Down...Windows Going In!

Sliding glass door trimmed in

Jay and I did not want any trees in the yard so we had them all taken down. In Roswell you have to get a permit to remove trees if your property is over an acre.  So I had to call the Roswell arborist and tell him what we were doing and he had to approve it. We had to pay $75 for permission/permit down at the city of Roswell. With all the permits I have had to get I am becoming like Norm from Cheers down there.
But now we now have no trees!! Winds be damned! We will have no trees falling on our house and no pine sap to ruin our grass! This make Alisha a happy girl!
